Okay! I officially HATE Winter!

About 2 days ago it snowed, and we had NO one to shovel us(me and my 52 yr old mother) out. Not only that the front door doesn't turn anymore so you need a screwdriver to open it and the back door step has like 5 inches of pure solid ice(verrry slippery). And to top it all off yesterday we had a full blizzard warning.

So at about 7pm I finally made it out of the house and shoveled the best I could. The stupid plow pushed all the snow into our driveway. To say I was tired is an understatement. But even though it was still kinda warm(16 degrees F), my mom didn't get up. She hates the cold and fell asleep. So we didn't end up leaving the house to go to the car at 11p, but there was still the scraping of the ice to be done(YAY!) that took me about a half hour. By the time we got to the store we had 15 minutes to shop. And let me tell you that the only reason my mom wanted to go out was there was an "Alaskan Pollock" sale... did you know that Alaskan Pollack actually comes from CHINA? I didn't and neither did my mom. So that was a downer. Then we schleped off to Wal-Mart and I am proud to say we only spent $34(this time).

After that we got home and after I put the groceries away it was 1:30a. My mom had gotten a chill so I turned the heat up and went to check my email. The next time I got up it was 4 and the house was so hot that I was sweating.

Now, for those of you with pets... have you ever had a dog that needed to go out? I mean really needed to go out? I did. It was about 6a and my dog was doing that annoying breathing thing. Ya know, where it's a normal breath in and a whine(or high-pitched squeal) out. Well, I couldn't put her out IT WAS A FREAKING BLIZZARD outside. So I had to listen to that for about an hour before the wind calmed. Then as I was putting her out another... animal ran by the door. So, I'm standing inside the door, half asleep in my pjs and my dog gives a sudden lunge out the door. And I'm not talking a little lunge from a little dog; I mean a huge lunge from a 100lb dog. I have to admit, I wanted to kill the little b****. I was outside in -5 degree weather because my dog saw something. YAY ME!

**Needless to say I was fully awake and I couldn't go back to sleep until I took her in. From that experience I got a chill and a bruised finger. (you know on dog collars there is a D-link right. That is what I was holding onto with, my index finger, when she lunged.

And that is why I hate winter!
